RFI: Maps, "Start Something"/"To The Sky"

Both Piccadilly and Rough Trade are saying the kind of things that leave me slobbering with anticipation of hearing it, but they're pretty much the bulk of what's ever been written about the single so far and they've got a little bit of an agenda behind pushing it. Still, they're playing all the same cards that they were playing for that Johnny Boy single last year, and lord knows they were dead on the money on that one.

So anyone know anything at all about this band/these songs? They seem to be relatively googleproof so I can't track down anything at all.

its pretty great, very sedate
breathy male vocals, beautiful bells and glock .. wide appeal indeed

this record is very lovely, strongly reminds me of slabco type stuff, perhaps slightly less groovy.

Interesting comparison re: Slabco -- can kinda hear a bit of it in the album (which I found for a buck yesterday so hey).

Saw them live, were a bit boring, but "You Don't Know Her Name" is a perfect song.
