you can download the mix at http://www.gomma.de

it's a funky, heavy rock song from the 70s. sounds almost like Babe Ruth. high pitched zep scream voice. the song talks about Money and i think the chorus has a chanted chorus that says "Famous Broadway"

Do you mean off the first mix? I think you're thinking of "Miss Broadway" by Belle Epoque.

don't suppose anyone knows if there's still any way to get a cd copy of the second mix eh?

Brandon Mitchell (A.H.), Friday, 9 September 2005 03:48 (twenty years ago)

suite, you are my hero. i thought it was the first part, but my mp3 must be labeled wrong.

why do you need the cd if you can get the mp3?

Capital Letter Rock (jaxon), Friday, 9 September 2005 03:50 (twenty years ago)

cuz then it's higher quality and you get separate tracks (w/separate names)... and cover art

it's not essential though, I know. and I should be saving money right now.

turntablelab may sell it...

anyway, they're singing Hey...Miss Broadway.

There's another Belle Epoque song, a very different one, on a more recent mix, oh man, here comes the self-promo:

hey can anyone recommend a good disco party in Brooklyn? I've been searching and searching ILM, and the internet, but can't seem to find one that exists. Also, when I say disco I don't mean '70s nostalgia cheez. I mean like Salsoul and Sleeping Bag Records, oh who am I kidding, no one plays those anymore..

well, in lieu of that, can anyone recommend a good pizza place?

haha, "Hey...Miss" = "Faaa...mous"

Capital Letter Rock (jaxon), Friday, 9 September 2005 20:07 (twenty years ago)

there are no good disco parties in brooklyn.

the best pizza places are DiFara's in Midwood and Leonardo's in Carroll Gardens.

all i gotta say is fuck ebay snipers. i coulda had this for 6$

and fuck gemm.com who's gonna pay 130$ for this record? are they outta their fucking minds?

Capital Letter Rock (jaxon), Friday, 9 September 2005 21:24 (twenty years ago)

one trick..check the disco LP sections, not always as picked through as the 12"s and you're more likely to find the Belle Epoque LP with Miss Broadway...

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Friday, 9 September 2005 21:28 (twenty years ago)

yeah, i mean, it's not like this has been something i've had on my list for years. i just found out what the song was yesteday. i'll look around. i doubt it'll be that hard to find if two copies just went on ebay for less than 10$
