Who cares about the NME these days enough to hate it?

title scores enough to pass

It's a music comic, kerrang has overtaken it in terms of sales.

Hating the NME is dud. Giving two hoots about the NME is dud. Even as a past apologist for this rag I can't bring myself to bother anymore.

i think the question is concerned w/ the song by thee headcoats titled "(we hate the fuckin') nme", rather than whether or not hating the nme is worthwhile. 2 chord caveman guitar = repetition + cracking vox by my favourite luddite englishman. definitely not clever. classic. "elvis costello in the nme/david bowie in the nme/morrissey in the nme/independents in the nme/ . . . etc . . .

They put this song out like 3 years ago; maybe it was more relevant then? (I don't know anything about the NME). It's an awesome song though (even though the only line I think I remember is "I hate motherfucking Jarvis Cocker").

I love Billy Childish/Headcoats/all that but this song's no BFD. Like everyone was saying, why does he even care enough to hate the, what was it called. He's only recorded a few hundred better songs, c'mon.

"Punk Rock Ist Nicht Tot" is a much better track from the same album.

Which reminds me: is there a Headcoats C/D? I should go look.
