Mark Gardener album details revealed

Two years after playing his first solo show at SXSW in Austin Texas, Mark has now completed his debut solo album….

The recording is wrapped up, the mixing finished, the mastering completed and the artwork done.

So we’re happy to announce the finalised tracklisting of "These Beautiful Ghosts":

1. Snow In Mexico
2. Getting Out Of Your Own Way
3. To Get Me Through
4. Magdalen Sky
5. Rhapsody
6. Summer Turns To Fall
7. Beautiful Ghosts
8. Flaws Of Perception
9. The Story Of The Eye
10. Where Are You Now?
11. Water And Wine
12. Gravity Flow

The album is to be released on US label UFO on October 11th with release elsewhere to follow early in 2006. As you will be aware if you received the last Ride mailout, Mark is releasing a special limited edition advance version of the album which will come with a bonus DVD featuring a film documentary of the past two years plus different versions of some of the album tracks (demo, live, session etc.). The only place that this limited edition version of the album will be available is through www.oxfordmusic.net This version of the album will be strictly limited to 2500 copies worldwide and orders will be mailed out as soon as the final edit of the film has been completed and the DVD compiled – mid-September, if all goes to plan. From the middle of August onwards, anyone that has ordered the album in advance online will be able to download MP3 versions of a number of the tracks. You know it makes sense…

Mark is also due to play at the next Sonic Cathedral.

Loz Colbert announces solo date

Whilst Andy Bell continues to pack out stadiums with Oasis and Mark Gardener prepares to release his solo debut, ex-Ride drummer Loz Colbert has decided to step forward from his drum kit and has recenty been busy writing his own solo material.

Loz previously wrote 'Natural Grace' from the Ride album Carnival of Light alongside contributing lyrics to the Tarantula album. You can also hear Loz's vocals on two tracks featured on the 'Firing Blanks' compilation released by the band in 2001.
