Did Anybody Out There, Like Me, Buy Late Registration as an Act of Support for Kanye's Anti-Bush Comments?

Thought about it, but added the price of his album to donation instead.

No, but I downloaded "Gold Digger" for 99 cents off of iTunes.

i'll add that i also donated directly to the cause, just so you guys don't think i'm more concerned about how kanye's album does than the actual recovery effort

I have downloaded the album and spent some time loading trucks of dry goods and food for Red Cross.

Because I have no money.

Yes. Am in the process of scheduling a non-cancelled training session to help the RC.

the fact that FEMA has flip-flopped(at least 4x) on whether to send evacuees out to Oregon has not helped the situation.

Someone needs to establish a fund to relocate refugees in Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Ohio.

I haven't done anything to support Kanye West but I've watched a lot of BET and UPN lately trying to make up for Bush's lack of caring for black ppl and not listening to them enough. BET taught me that they like a good time (except on Sundays w/ church) and UPN sitcoms taught me that 85% of black people have a sassy answer for EVERYTHING. The more you know...

UPN CBS sitcoms taught me that 85% of black white people have a sassy really unfunny answer for EVERYTHING and they somehow work snot-nosed kids into the shit.

i read an article about how several states in the northeast are all set up to receive evacuees, but not that many people have made it up here so lots of the shelters are practically empty.

I didn't take Late Registration back to the shop - which I came very close to doing - partly because of Kanye's recent statements (this, and the anti-homophobia thing). But only partly.

Flyboy (Flyboy), Monday, 12 September 2005 08:19 (twenty years ago)

I bought it off iTunes right after I saw the clip

Thomas Tallis (Tommy), Monday, 12 September 2005 08:54 (twenty years ago)

I downloaded some of it off iTunes...but check out the re-done Gold Digger
(George Bush Don't Care About Black People) - it's supa dupa and features the aforementioned quote.

You can can it via here...

hey I love that Kanye said that.. but if you watch the entire video on iFilm, not just the Mike Myers doubletake part, if you watch the whole thing prior to lashing out at Bush, Kanye gets really emotional and talks about the victims there as "my people" and even says "I am working with my business manager to see what the highest amount of money I can give is".

Has the conservative media called him on this to see how much he has given? Any news, methinks that comment is gon' cost him..
