Kinda want the new Freakwater and the new Old Time Relijun but am totally on tour and broke ass. Anybody heard either of these?

What are my chances of finding that God & Hair Yahowah box anywhere these days? I also seek Lyman Family LPs. West Coasties, help make this easier on me - that place overwhelms me. I barely got through the jazz section last time...and almost dropped $50 on a Guitar Roberts LP at Amoeba LA!

Don't buy any new stuff, that's for sure. Just wander around and browse aimlessly and you'll find something to buy.

where are you guys playing in LA?

is the sf show canceled?

also, there's a weird section called iRock that has all the weird kraut and other international psych and prog stuff that's sorta hidden and doesn't get as picked through as the general rock section

If they're still doing it, buy a bandana for the Dax Pierson fund.

I wish LA had that section.

isn't most of that stuff in the experimental / avant garde section?

gary d'bleunre (dr g), Wednesday, 14 September 2005 05:16 (twenty years ago)

in LA, i mean

Well, not really. What would be filed under Prog at Arons is spread between Rock, Experimental and Oldies at Amoeba. I seem to remember the International Rock section at the Haight st. Amoeba was full of tropicalia, krautrock, prog, experimental japanese stuff and all sorts of other music that is scattered all over different sections of Amoeba LA.
