Any news on Tiga's imminent LP? Anybody heard any tracks?

Mr Gripper (Mr Gripper), Wednesday, 14 September 2005 06:52 (twenty years ago)

Release date is 9 January. Should be good! New single "You Gonna Want Me" is out in October and currently doing the rounds on promo.

the single's pretty good, although i'm a little disappointed with the isolee remix.

Any collaborations?

Well, the Soulwax brothers co-produced and Jake Shears sings on the new single. I expect Jesper Dahlbäck to have been around...

i was disappointed by by the radio edit i heard of the single,
it was a bit by numbers-y.

ok "ciao" is ridiculous

there's a song called "shoes" that could have been written by tim and eric. AWESOME!

(xpost) That's the single, and the female vox are rumored to be Madonna. (or so I read)

ok. dug the single out.
not overly knocked out i have to say.
suspect i have overdosed on the monotonic spoken sleazy vocal thing.
is this an album highlight, or not that representative ?

On first listen, Shoes is the worst track on the album IMO. There's a lot of really good stuff on here, his vocals get sort of grating in high doses though

i listened to this album a dozen times in a row and afterwards couldn't remember a single thing about it. no hooks, no lyrics just a big load of robson & jerome-level nothingness

NI, Friday, 12 June 2009 17:55 (sixteen years ago)

and yeah it really is time that monotonic spoken sleazy vocal was hung out to dry
