Nice equipment enters the market at lower prices. Less established musicians get thei hands on it.

Forces established acts to rework their setup.

So, go out and steal stuff then, dude. Less talk, more action.

"midi stuff" is the dumbest possible stuff to steal.

Killing shitty musicians is also a great idea.

OK, you can have the $200 Kaos pad, and I'll grab the $1500 AC-30.

People who steal musical gear are horrible fucks, and should get their own special section of hell.

Almost every musician I've known that has had their stuff stolen is poor as hell. Having to rehearse in a shitty unsecured building tends to lead to more theft than I imagine the Green Day types have to deal with. So, I guess if you want to just move the equipment around from one poor unlucky bastard to another, it's a great idea. Otherwise, not so much.

John Justen (johnjusten), Thursday, 15 September 2005 01:11 (twenty years ago)

didn't equipment theft lead to disco inferno having to re-record technicolour and then shortly thereafter break up in disgust? if so, then people who steal equipment need to be killed.
