OZZY: The Reality TV Show

Just found out about this. Is the world really ready for a reality TV show where the main star is Ozzy? Where he gets to yell at his daughter that her techno music is noise? Are you all setting your VCRs to record this?

I'm actually quite curious about it, but I can't see how it could last very long. Also, hasn't one daughter already divorced herself from it out of sheer embarassment? It strikes me that it's all Ozzy's wife Sharon's idea.

My question is didn't Alice Cooper have his own show in the 70's and did it not fair well? I think to many parents still connect Ozzy to "devil worship" or something similar. I can't see it lasting but I will regret later that I didn't watch it. I'm sure it will be more interesting than the variety show by the Starlight Vocal Band...or maybe not.?.

Damn...haven't been able to look at the clips yet. Something wrong with MTV's site I guess. The photo album was worrisome enough.

I love the idea. Ozzy is simply hilarious and I have a feeling this show will give me ample opportunities to hate his stupid pink-haired Gap-punked out daughter. This will teach kids of all ages not to snort ants no matter how funny they think it will be. I will watch and it will be good.

one month passes...
UPDATE: This show is apparently one of MTV's top-ranked shows and is doing well over all cable networks. It pulls something like 3 million viewers an episode.

There's a reason Dan: it's an incredible show. And the daughter actually seems pretty cool, at least compared to her psychotic sailor- mouthed brother.

the show is freaking hilarious. ozzy has got to be one of the funniest characters i have ever seen. ozzy being a dad is right up there in the high comedy factor. Last week he threw a piece of firewood through a neighbors window because they were playing techno at 2 in the am.

If it's too loud, you're too Ozzy.

This show is the one of the best things on television. The "reality" tv genre has produced its first real masterpiece, mainly because there's never any doubt that the Osbournes (particularly Ozzy) are just being themselves, as opposed to being characters carefully chosen by a group of 'hip' producers trying to create the correct mix of personality types. Weird people RULE!

The lounge version of Crazy Train for opening credits is the stroke of genius that ties it all together, I think.

I'm not sure about that. I think it's the fact that Ozzy's wife Sharon assaults the neighbors with a ham.

I can't imagine this show lasting, but it has the material for one good season probably. (Bonus Ozzy! After I saw the first episode, they showed the episode of Cribs with the Osbournes' house and the family acted just like they did on the Osbournes.)

Just noticed it's gonna be on MTV Europe. Yeehaa.
