I wanted to name a classic, pre-Bee Gees disco video earlier today but couldn't come up with anything. What would be the arch-typical early disco video, anyone? Did MFSB make a video for 'Love Is The Message'?

(although "Knock On Wood" sounds NOTHING like disco.. it's just 70s glam rock with a soulful vocalist. But the song is considered a "disco" classic, for some reason.)

"Knock on Wood" is no more and no less disco than Blondie's "Call Me." In other words, I agree with you.

"Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" has a pretty incredible video, recorded for some kind of American Bandstand type show.

"Knock on Wood" and "Call Me" aren't disco?? Truly bizarre...

I nominate Sylvester's "(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real," one of the ten greatest music videos ever made, period. (It post-dates Saturday Night Fever, but so do other things mentioned on this thread, so not sure how strictly that rule needs to be followed).
