does being heralded by boring people make people more boring?

or do boring people only catch on to things as they are sliding into boring? or do bands freeze up and become more boring the more boring people tell them how good they are? or are boring people just really good at sniffing out future boredom in bands that are not currently boring? am i boring you? i am listening to the replacements stink right now. boring=rolling stone

Probably, I meet a lot of boring people online. They have "serious" conversations. Usually in depth conversations about some niche interest characterized by intellectual humor (mostly sarcasm and dry wit). And yes this phenomenon annoys me. Boring Intellectuals need to bust loose and be a little less judgmental all the time. It really cuts down on their happiness and my perception of them as interesting.

When it comes to music I say Jeff Buckley is boring and so is arcade fire.
At the same time I love belle and sebastian and the sea and cake but others have called them boring. I bet lots of people think the great early genesis albums are boring. Which leaves me wondering.. is it exclusive? Jeff Buckley and Arcade Fire fans vs. The Sea And Cake and Belle and Sebastian fans?
Or _____ & ______ vs. ______ & ______.
In which case is boring justified?
