I find that the one song that became the hit - "Take a Chance On Me" - was among my least favourites of the tracks. Their versions of "SOS" and "Lay All Your Love On Me" were both fantastic.

Radiohead's Airbag (How Am I Driving?) EP is my favourite work of theirs, featuring seven absolutely flawless songs in a perfect sequence. I'm not just being contrarian here, it genuinely is IMO their most awesome creation.

You think all seven? It always seemed to me that the real body of work was tracks 2 thru 6, and they just stuck "Airbag" in the front; notice how the beginning of "Pearly*" seems to 'rev up' and the end of "Melatonin" seems to 'rev down', where as "Airbag" just sort of ends. Also, the title's slash seems to suggest an almost explicit division between the two, as if the CD consists of the song "Airbag", followed by the body of songs that is "How Am I Driving?".

Very good point (I have to be pedantic and point out that 'Palo Alto' is the final track that winds down at the conclusion, but the ring composition there isn't something I've consciously noted before).

What a brilliant EP, however. 'A Reminder' is my favourite Radiohead track, and 'Meeting In The Aisle' is one of the great rock instrumentals, period. Radiohead here were playing the most evocative, ambitious, exciting, multi-layered music of their existence, and I love it.

I've kinda banned myself from MSN during term-time. I might log in at some point, however, if you want. :-)
