Gage-o, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Portishead's second album was terribly effective one time. But I prefer one's own soundtrack.

Prince - Dirty Mind. On replay. Just in case it takes too long.

helenfordsdale, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was under the impression that with most guys taking too long isn't the problem.

Smog - Dress Sexy At My Funeral

Brock K, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

what a bizarre question. i feel like i'm the only person in the world who's paying more attention to what i'm doing than what sounds are occuring in the distant world of normal, non-fucking consciousness. but if i have to pick one, today it'd be "permanent green light" by the godz.

On multiple occassions I've gotten laid to Big Black's Pigpile. And it wasn't me that put it on. Yeah, she's a cool girl.

THE CURE - RAINSONG
Dude, are you serious?
Ned, one can only wait so long when... Oh never mind.

helenfordsdale, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Dude, are you serious?

Carnage Visors would be a better choice.

Ned, one can only wait so long when... Oh never mind.

Glad we got that cleared up. ;-)

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

By the way, I was always under the impression that Carnage Visors was only avail. on the double cassette release with Faith. Can anyone verify?? Also same question with Curiosity. (I did see a bootlegged CD with what appeared to be Curiosity"s track listings on it once about 10 years ago. The two songs I used to want to hear studio versions of were Forever and All Mine. Don't listen to the Cure much nowadays though

Ron Hudson, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Poor soul. Oops, I mean, times change. ;-) As yet Curiosity, Carnage Visors and all the B-sides have not been officially compiled/released on CD. Robert has made various mentions here and there of putting out something via the band website, though, and now that he's put Elektra behind him, much to his extreme happiness, that may well start coming to pass.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned, (or anyone) have you seen the carnage visors film???

Ron Hudson, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That appears to be something of the holy grail.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Both "Carnage Visors" and the entirety of CURIOSITY (the b-side of rareties of the CONCERT cassette) is available on BOOTLEG cd's, however.

Alex in NYC, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anything from the Saqqara Dogs.
