Not another band, but a TV show--

Around Imperial, the band Unrest took the font from the classic TV show The Prisoner. The font is now called EFF Prisoner, and they used it on the Imperial album and in ads from that time, even copping the ominous phrase from the Village (you have to know the show to understand)..."be seeing you."

Non sure how most of these are either "ironic" or "unwitting," but still...

If I knew how to glue photos here, I'd put that Non-Phixion 12-inch cover that looks like a Voivod cover (mainly because they apparently hired the Voivod guy -- Snake or Away, whoever is the caligraphy one -- to do their artwork.)

Green Day and Fishbone have both ripped off Derek Riggs' Iron Maiden font (originally used on the poster for Bowie's "The Man Who Fell to Earth", I believe).

Yeah, but it's such an arcane (but unique) premise for a thread that it's an effort just finding matching fonts without worrying about irony/intentions etc!
