Great question, and I've had a couple conversations about this before. A bunch of the people I talked to thought it was getting married, but I think the best, pimpest answer is....

He's wondering why she'd give him this ultimatum, like maybe it doesn't mean as much to her as it does to him. She's like, "take it raw, fatty, or so long". He's begging, pleading, "Anything but that, for god's sake!" The hidden subtext is he doth protest too much, and he really does want to do it, but he's got to play like he doesn't. truth is, Meat Loaf will eventually take the salami surprise, because he does love her that much, and she's only trying to, um, open him up to a world he's never seen, felt--nay--SMELT before, a world that he truly does want to travel to. that, my friends, is LOVE!

In addition, the female vocalist identifies two other things that the lead singer denies that he will do: "You'll see that it's time to move on" and "You'll be screwing around." To both of these, the lead singer responds, "I won't do that! No, I won't do that!"
