Help me out in finding out what this song is

So I heard this song last night, which I think I may have heard in a TV commercial. It sounds kind of like a band that's on the Franz Ferdinand bandwagon, but with a singer that's more like Ian Curtis from Joy Division.

As far as lyrics go, I think I heard something about "city lights" and something about "they rise and they rise". The chorus just consists of "La la la la la la la" over and over. Any help?

That would be "The Passenger" by Iggy Pop. I'm guessing that he wasn't on the Franzwagon back in '77, when he recorded this song...

OMG that song is playing right now on the radio. Is it Peabody "The Weight Just Right"? This may be a different song, but it sounds v. similar to what you described.

Or it could be a male rip-off of Kylie.
