This is all Thom Yorke's fault, isn't it? Most recent offenders are The Magic Numbers, but see also Chris Martin and the whole post-Radiohead U.K. guitar band continuum. You know what I mean, right? The kind of half-swallowed quasi-yodel thing? It's snivelly. Bring back the sneer!
