Appreciation For Jon Brion's "I Heart Huckabees" Soundtrack !!

Today I was listening to Jon Brion's score for the movie "I Heart Huckabees".

Personally, I love this movie, and listening to the soundtrack now (after months of letting it sit), I find it to be arguably one of Brion's best scores to date.

I highly reccomend this soundtrack. Brion has five original pop tunes on it as well, all wickedly produced.

I didn't hear much buzz behind this when it csme out, or since, so just thought I'd see if any of you really dig this album and / or movie as much as I do.

I, being a huge JBrion score fan, have had no wish to seek this score out because I was disappointed with it while I watched the film. But then again, maybe not really liking the film had something to do with it.

I'd rank his scores this way:
1/ Magnolia
2/ PunchDrunk Love
3/ Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
4/ I Heart Huckabees
(Are there more?)

(I heard a "proper" album by him, and thought it was not very good.)

i really didn't like this movie, and i really don't like most modern rock/pop music,,,, but i REALLY liked this soundtrack

Love the film, hate the score. Then again, I am no fan of Brion's production work.

three years pass...

I've been asked to find some stuff that sounds like this for a movie, and I can't find anything (interesting)at all ! Stuff like Michael Andrews or the Waking Life soundtrack are the best I have found so far. Any ideas ?
