Is Chris Martin trying to be the Woebot of rock? You're not even the 4000th best band in the world. Now shut up and go back to campaigning for Liam Fox.

SHEEP! SHEEP!...

Look, I actually have nothing (much) against the bloke. But for xfax blox what! It would be more radical to vote for CHARLOTTE CHURCH!!!

Point one) Remember when that end of millennium poll was made and all the pundits tutted at Robbie's high standings, while predictng that Macie Gray would be the most likely artist to become as big as Lennon/Dylan etc. It was untrue, and heck at least robbie earned it! Blunty has had one hit proper, and this week has a nice "in at number 14" follow up. Time will tell. I know, "Best New Artist, Kiss of death" and all that. Heck, I should have voted for him then!

Point two) "I'm not buying Q anymore" Phil Ochs.

The editor of Q appears in Media Guardian today being sarky about No Rock & Roll Fun, which he describes as being written by "someone who doesn't get out of the house very much." On such original insight are editorships gained.

three weeks pass...
The editor of Q appears in Media Guardian today being sarky about No Rock & Roll Fun, which he describes as being written by "someone who doesn't get out of the house very much."

Good gravy. I can't find this. This would be enough to make one take up arms. Does anyone have a link?

seven years pass...

Rock legend David Bowie fails to win any prizes at the Q Awards, despite nominations in six categories, and is trounced by Ellie Goulding in the prize for best solo artist.
