What, did they run out of names or something?
So, who did it right? (My vote: $M)

The Bros!

Much as I love the Chemical Brothers, or did, I suppose, Sugababes win this so easily it isn't even funny.

There's a tune on the Sugababes album called "Joy Division", wtf?!

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 13 October 2005 06:44 (twenty years ago)

Is that the 'meta-pop' like?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 13 October 2005 07:49 (twenty years ago)

'joy division' is not all that, though it does have the line "I ain't just some piece of meat sitting in the delicatessen".

'push the button' is, however, all that and more. sugababes win. by LOADS.

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 13 October 2005 08:39 (twenty years ago)

Is "Joy Division" about actual Nazi whores then? Will it be a single with them in Swatika-emblazoned leatherette cutaway catsuits? That would be AWESOME and also TERRIFYING.

$Mark = Sugababes > Chemical Brothers

There's also a nice, grungey funk version of Mark's 'Push The Button' featuring Kid Koala on 'tables from Mark's live rec, Mark On The Mic.

"Hand in your head" is class. Sugababes alright but the Bros? Nah. Money Mark for me I'm afraid.

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Friday, 14 October 2005 11:19 (twenty years ago)

the ILM answer is, so obviously it isn't even funny, The Sugababes but the correct answer is Money Mark.

nine years pass...

to celebrate its 20th anniversary, money mark is giving away PTB for free on his website.

20 years? Surely not. Wow. My brother worked for the label that distributed this when it came out, and had a Money mark vinyl doll promotional thing.

Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Monday, 7 September 2015 11:55 (ten years ago)

Wiki reckons PTB was 1998, and Keyboard Repair was 95.
