Beats International: C/D

Actually, I'm mostly interested in the song "Echo Chamber"...seems like a British version of the dread "White Boy Funk," yet I can tell this is the verge of Mr. Cook's breakthough into his brilliant floor-filler era, and the lyrics also say something about "Mr. Tubby" and "cliche." In fact, the entire song may actually be a piss-take...?

I'm always liked "Come Home" from Excursion On The Version.

Someone post the Beats Int version of Won't Talk About It so I can pontificate on whether or not it's better than the Norman Cook solo version!

Norm's 'solo' has Billy Bragg singing it. As was the "beats int" lp version.

Wasn't the LP with Lindy singing? I looked at it in a shop once.

The single is "solo" inasmuch as it's actually released under his own name! not even a "feat." for Bragg.

The 'single from the album' was Lindy, but I'm fairly sure it's Billy on the album.

Supposedly, the structure of this album was based on Malcolm McLaren's "Duck Rock"

nineteen years pass...

I dug out a crate of CDs I used to DJ with and had the urge to play Excursion on the Version for the first time in years. I still have a large soft spot for Let Them Eat Bingo. Anyone else?

Both albums are great but especially the first, Big Tent '90 vibes par excellence.
