On the Saturday morning before Halloween, 19-year old William "Michael Myers" Freund put on a dark cape and painted mask and entered a neighbor's house, killing two people with blasts from his shotgun. He then shot at a house across the street and tried to fire at a neighbor when his gun jammed. Then he went home, unjammed the gun and killed himself with it.
In the weeks leading up, Freund has posted on the website, wrongplanet.net, that he was going "to start a Terror Campaign to hurt those that had hurt me." Freund, who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, also wrote on the website "...I have A real shotgun. It's gona be a fun Halloween." And "I've tried [to kill himself] everythink to asphxia, to Lethal Gases, Inert Gases, To full suspended hanging ... my minds sick with depression."
