unless there's a promo-only with b-side "Beautiful" that's not yet made it to GEMM, the tracklistings I've seen for the "Number 1" EP are showing only the remix and its instrumental version for "Number 1"...

that's what I had in mind when dissing the idea that we'd also mostly have to settle for remixes of the singles off Come And Get It on vinyl, instead of hyperdelic album tracks like "Every Little Thing" and "Crazy Boys".

Paul (scifisoul), Friday, 4 November 2005 13:59 (twenty years ago)

i don't think 'Intro Inspection' ever made it to 12", along with the 'Intro Expansions'

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Friday, 4 November 2005 14:01 (twenty years ago)

re: "The Show" - it amazes me nowadays what labels chose to release or NOT release on 12". let's see, we have a dancable stomper and a ballad, which should we put on vinyl? (and no one luvs ballads like I do)

Paul (scifisoul), Friday, 4 November 2005 14:04 (twenty years ago)

Sugababes - "Someone In My Bed"

Paul (scifisoul), Friday, 4 November 2005 14:04 (twenty years ago)

Paul (scifisoul), Friday, 4 November 2005 14:32 (twenty years ago)

CD-only stuff that I wish was on vinyl, in general, is like fifteen thousand things. Off the top of my head - Beck's "Sea Change" has been promised for a while; I wish I had Andrew WK's "The Wolf" to go in the box behind "I Get Wet"; the new disc by Marbles seems to be great but I just can't jump for the CD; everything by Palomar. I don't really buy CDs much because they feel chintzy and not worth it, and when I do I always find myself wishing the art was three times bigger. Palomar and Sea Change fall into that last point especially. Blah blah.

Doctor Casino, Friday, 4 November 2005 17:11 (twenty years ago)

"The moment i feared" by Slick Rick.

"No competition" by Eric B. & Rakim.

"Lil' Ghetto boy" by Dre, Snoop & Nate Dogg.

"Pump pump" by Snoop and teh kid outta Illegal.

"Camay" by Ghost, Rae and Cappadonna.

"Ova da wudz" by Outkast.

"Neva die alone" by CNN & Tragedy.

"No competition" by Eric B. & Rakim

well you can get that on the LP version of Follow The Leader
but considering it's among the best hip hop lyrics EVER - it shoulda been a 12" single!
