Think Tank 'A Knife And A Fork'

"A knife and a fork a bottle and a cork that's the way to spell New York"

but sampled from what you're after no doubt.

"No Thrills, handy for the hills, that's the way you spell New Mills"

My dad played this song around the house obsessively pretty much from jump and I remember being on a grammar school playground during field day races chanting "I GOT COCAINE! A WHOLE, A WHOLE LOTTA COCAINE, MAN! RUNNIN' AROUND MY BRAIN!" until Pops finally shut me up.

I've yet to figure out what the hell the knife/fork/bottle/cork line MEANS, but it's still how I spell NYC.

It's an old saying, dating back to the 1900s. Probably means something along the lines of "The Big Apple." New York is good eating!

Information Society also sampled that on HACK on the imaginatively titled "A Knife & A Fork"

teh hipsters over at Turntable Lab used to have a t-shirt that said "knife, fork, bottle & cork", but damned if I can find it there now. At least they fixed their search engine.

Are the Think Tank and Information Society ones the same song, or is it an update...

(we are talking about the Paul Robb Think Tank, right?

I really hope Dan Perry shows up soon, because I can't remember if he loved or hated this song.

i only looked at the new site for about two minutes, but i got to say, anything is an improvement. that old site was just aggravating finding stuff if you wanted to buy on a return visit.
