Have you heard a worse song in recent memory?

sundar subramanian, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Is it a Supertramp cover?

Alex in NYC, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No.

You can sing "Imagine" almost word for fucking word with this piece of dung. Which probably makes it even worse.

I'm gonna tell the Blizzard of Oz what you guys are saying... expect a visit from the Dark Prince tonite, while you sleep fitfully. Yea, though I walk through the shadow of the Valley of Death...

The only thing more abysmal than the song is the music video, which I saw on MTV2 one night. Ozzy wears a gigantic cross around his neck and plays with children while singing-and the lyrics get increasingly born-again Christian as it goes on. It's sort of got this glassy, blank, Prozac-tinged, soft-focus feel to it. Disturbing, but not in a good way.

I agree with Andy ~ Actually, I hope you all receive a visit from the price of darkness. freaks.

That new 311 song is worse: the laziest kind jacuzzi reggae plus the lyrics sound like an ode to a college stripper. "Whoah, Amber is the color of your energy" has to be the worst chorus ever.

It's not that bad. I mean, it's kinda dull but at least it's not Celine Dion's new album.

You know... I'm not an ozzy osbourne fan, but this new track surely gives me reason to think otherwise. He's truly come down to earth (or should I have said up to earth), and created a meaningful song that deserves better reviews than you death obsessed, satanic freaks can give him. Give him some credit!

Josh, Wednesday, 5 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We'd rather watch the show.

You stupid muleasses.. its the first time he really sings about something meaningfull, I havent been interested of his music since the days of Shot in the dark, but after I heard/saw Dreamer in MTV, it really touched me, that after such a hard and heavy career/life he manages to find glimpse of hope from his most certain gloomy kind of state of mind.. left apart 11.9 events.. so give him the credit he/the song deserves. and stop whining you wanna-be satanic skull- fucked morons.

I thought this track was a very sweet "Imagine" rip off.

The answer to Have you heard a worse song in recent memory? is Ozzy's cover of "In My Life."

Yes the video features a montage of Sabbath/Osbournes footage.

Yes, it is hell.
