We haven't yet had a thread for Britney Spears' "And Then We Kiss" have we?

Because, you know, if we haven't, we really should. Junkie XL remixed it, it's an "In The Zone" out-take, and it's somewhere between "Breathe On Me", New Order and Kylie Minogue's version of "On A Night Like This" except distinctly better than that. Fantastic floaty chorus too.

I might be being the most ridiculously easily pleased fanboy ever, but I love it. YSI soon.

How many In The Zone outtakes can be left after this?

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Sunday, 6 November 2005 00:09 (twenty years ago)

There are stacks. At least in this mix, it would have been in the top half of ITZ songs.

Mind Taker tried to drum up some interest in the track here, and there was also an YSI (not sure if it has expired).

i take it back -- there is a working one on the thread.

shouldn't britney be in the ILE board, since she's in the tabloid industry now and not music?

My girlfriend just sent me this and holy shit it's good. Much more New Order-influenced than I expected from hearing your description, Edward. Not just the obvious Hooky bass, but the chords and some of the synths. It reminds me a bit like "Guilt is a Useless Emotion" but I think this is actually better.

Should this claim prove to be a lie I'm-a comin' round there and beating you myself.

This should have been a single, for sure. The synths and melody are vaguely Depeche Mode-ish to my ears more than New Order influenced.
