looking after cdrs/dvdrs

so, i have a lot of cdrs/dvdrs, and i suspect i'm not looking afetr them very well. i don't want to put them in jewel cases as that would take up too much room; at the moment i buy them in spindles and restack them that way which i'm guess is going to prove regrettable in the long term. what should i be using? Polypropylene sleeves like the ones here?

Yeah, I just buy multipacks of them http://www.sleevetown.com/images/9PLABUD.jpg for CDR's and things that come in card sleeves (very, very anal retentive I know).

I'm not too fussed about having mega-protection for CDR's because of all the rumours that they degrade pretty badly over time anyway with chemical leeching & such. But they do keep the scratches at bay, which for short-term fun is fine.

IMO you're more likely to scratch 'em getting then in and out of those slipcases than leaving them on the spindle. I use the slim jewel cases meself...

I remember reading a long while ago that they don't like to be left in direct sunlight (affects the dyes?) so I avoid that where possible too.
