When was this put out? On what album? (aforementioned site has no tracklist) Do diehard ADII purists dismiss this slice of genius?

This band wasn't "really" Amon Duul 2, they only had one member. By all accounts their output ain't worth much, but I love that one song.
If you do not have AD2's Yeti then trust me on that one. Get the new version on Repertoire, it's remastered with bonus tracks. Seriously, one of the best records from that era (see various ILM "best Krautrock" threads for more votes). For my money it beats the two lemming albums by a long shot.

It was John Weinzierl and Dave Anderson wasn't it? Two members!

But what about the SONG? Nobody's really mentioned it. "Marcus Leid" doesn't sound like any other ADII stuff, or, for that matter, virtually anything else I've ever heard. It's this weird pop-psych epic tune (9 min.) about Joan Of Arc, for chrissake! Somebody here must have heard it enough to give their opinion.
Anyway, I say CLASSIC! Search that shit out! But don't expect "Yeti".
And no, I can't YSI until this weekend ;)
