A list: Bob Dylan cover versions recorded or performed since 2000?

Whether recorded or only performed live. Either is fine.

It's kind of a superficial "is he still relevant?" test. It might be fun to come up with a whole series of threads for similar lists of recent covers of songs by other classic rock (or non-classic rock) warhorses. (Beatles, Kinks, etc.)

I thought of this when I bought a bunch of Joni Mitchell records recently. I'm listening to them and I like them okay. Yet I read about hugely, enormously popular she used to be (critically and commercially) and her name still comes up often enough, yet there doesn't seem to be much of a thriving Joni Mitchell following among young people. Or if there is, it's eluding me (if you have a list of recent Joni Mitchell cover songs, by all means, start another thread about it. I'd be curious to see it).

Anyway, back to Bob Dylan, I'm sure there are plenty of recent Bob Dylan covers, but I can't think of any. Can YOU? Post 'em.

Robyn Hitchcock, as mentioned above, put out a double-album of Dylan covers recently-ish.

Also, there were like three music mags last month featuring cds of contemporary Dylan covers. The ones I remember liking from the Uncut cd were:

Richard Fontaine - From a Buick 6
Dave Alvin - Highway 61 Revisited
Paul Westerberg - It Takes a Lot to Laugh It Takes a Train to Cry

Prince needs to do an album of Dylan covers. And vice-versa. Kind of a Minnesota project. Prince doing "Don't Think Twice It's Alright," Dylan doing "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man"...in my head, it sounds like the best thing ever.

Dump (aka James McNew of Yo La Tengo) covered "Wanted Man" on an album (alongside any number of Dylan covers YLT has probably performed live in the last five years).

Drive-thru Records(!) released a pretty terrifying album of Dylan covers earlier this year.

a couple of years ago i was going around saying "waah, no one cares about bob dylan anymore," but with all the freak-folk around now (and the scorsese doc) i'd venture to say that isn't true.

Dylan will always be cared about. Here's an interesting list.

Also, Calla's version of "I Shall Be Released" is something surprising and special.
