What were the principle keyboards/synths/drum machines of the New Jack Swing Era, particlarly which brands were popular among artists like teddy riley, keith sweat, guy and after 7.

Well, I'm flying by the seat of my pants here but my guess is:

Bassline & chinzy keys - often a DX7
Drums - often a 909 with short gated reverb of snare and/or clap

So are you done with disco era synths startrekman? I can tell you what synth patch was used on "All She Wants Is" by SCSI-9 when you get up to it.
