A Thread...about...the new Dirty Three?

I looked for "dirty three," "cinder," "dirty 3," and even "d3" and came up with nought. Did I do it wrong? Or is there just no thread about the new Dirty Three album? I heard it the other night and I think it's fantastic, and the Chan Marshall track is about as perfect a pairing as I could hope for. If there's already a thread about "Cinder" just show it to me, but I looked long and hard for it.

Sweet mercy, I hope there's not already a thread about this.

Thanks for looking first, yo.

I have not heard this and am pretty annoyed that it isn't at our radio station yet. I'm very intrigued by the "shorter songs" concept.

Saw an ad for it in either Uncut or Mojo, the only 2 x UK music mags I've read recently. Took me ages to find their "Ufkuko" on Bella Union, but that was great, too.

Short can be nice, but what goes missing on Cinder is the amazing build-ups and payoffs that I'm accustomed to hearing from D3. I give it a B-

I don't know- I kind of like the switch in their arrangements this time around. I picked it up on the release date and it's been on heavy rotation since.

There's an excellent Invisible Jukebox with Warren Ellis in the last Wire. A very eclectic selection, and he nailed all but one or two of them.
