So the Sesame Street presents record, "My Name Is Roosevelt Franklin" has some insane guest spots by Roose's buddy Mobity Mosely. Especially on the cut, "Mobity Mosely's Months." This record came out in '71 and Mobity is basically rapping over this VERY funky backing track.

I'm trying to figure out who was the performer playing Mobity and who his backing band was.

I can't seem to figure this out. Am I just a shit Googler?

I don't know, but was one of Mobity's exact quotes not, "Nobody knows me... I'm Mobity Mosely"?

According to the liner notes:
"First of all, there's Matt Robinson. He sings all of the boy voices and he wrote all of the words to all of the songs." and "Joe Raposo...he arranged all of the music and he led the band..."

It was engineered by Frank Laico, John Guerriere, and Ed Michalski, and produced by Thomas Z. Shepard.

Right on Mike. Thanks.

Apparantly the photo in the background of this "Don Music" skit is a shot of Joe Raposo.

Don Music... dare we explore the tortured artist archetype he ingrained in all of our young minds?
