One of the first blues albums I purchased, which I picked up after seeing Adventures In Babysitting when I was 12 (in which Collins made a memorable cameo). Still one of my favorite blues albums, and it seems that every AC album after that was in its shadow (despite him releasing some very good albums in the '80s).

"Cold, Cold Feeling" is maybe the best slow blues tune of the '70s.

I like the little I've heard of him. I'll have to look for that one.

right the fuck on. saw him live in a tiny Michigan club when this came out and he was crowd-pleasing frosty showman a la Buddy Guy.

check out his 60s sides on Truckin With Albert Collins

I have the follow-up to this, Frostbite. The closing slow blues "Snowed In" is great, he tells a story of his car being broke down and he uses the guitar to illustrate all kinds of effects (like the car not being able to start). I heard it on the radio when I was driving in a snowstorm once so I had to buy it. Never heard this one, though.

One of the true originals on the electric guitar. NO ONE sounds like him. I think it had very little to do with him minor tuning/capo set up and a lot to do with his hands. What a genius he was.

I had this casette as a kid. I think I'll need to rescreen it at some point.
