i am rather excited to hear about this to be honest.

I might have avoided this headache if I had known to stick my monitor beneath my desk, where it's darker, before trying to read the website. Thanks, Paul.

"It features a vocal performance by Sarah Nixey of Black Box Recorder singing a version of Japan's Ghosts."

Sold, and it's good to know that there's singing in the vocal performance.

ok ok .. i have just ejected the much loved lou rawls and david axelrod compilation to actually listen to this properly on headphones. a quick scan over the speakers while doing chores yesterdy revealed this to be a very ambient release with little going on, and so didn't hit home as i aint feeling in an ambient mood recently.
opener 'departure' has a very deep bass throb going on like some mutant massive attack kind of vibe. so far little real obvious PM involvement - who is described in the sleevenotes as doing 'some other things'

will report back later as to the whole album .

listened to it twice now. gorgeous electronic/ambient noises with a touch of glitchiness here and there, lots of delicate piano (as erik satie is referenced in the detail, lots of treated sonics. the presence of PM is very slight, a few processed vocals on a track or 2 and thats it, but the cover of Ghosts with sarah is very very nice.

a definite headphones treat.

My friend was playing this a month back (the infantjoy cd that is) and it sounded a little bit naff, certainly toothless, and a pretty crap/crass way of paying tribute to Erik Satie (haven't enough people paid tribute to him yet? They don't even do it very well... probably preferred the Akira Rabelais takeon this) I suspect Morely just wrote the sleevenotes... (see also his role in ZTT)

saw these guys live...
WORST gig i've ever been to. the musicians were alright, but oh my god morley's contribution was just cringe-makingly awful.
