What's this new Lauryn Hill song I keep hearing blasting out of passing cars?

It's not:
Fugees - Take it Easy
Nas - It Wasn't You
John Legend - So High

It kinda sounds like Welcome to Jamrock. Maybe it's not her? But it sure sounds like her.

Lil Kim - Lighters Up

Is it not the new Fugees single?

So, am I wrong to think that "Welcome to Jamrock" is actually pretty damn good?

Thanks deej - I'm a tard. The funny thing is I had to go no further than my itunes for verification. I've even listened to this song a couple times. I guess it sounded better coming out of cars. Um... did anyone hear those Paul Wall and Chamillionaire songs about the Astros? Those were crazy.

"Jamrock" is great! Does anyone know the name of that riddim? (also used in Ini Kamoze's "World A Music" and on Mad Professor's Dub Me Crazy Vol.1)

Lil Kim really doesn't sound like herself on that song though.

She sound slike she's trying really hard, to my ears.
Foxy Brown aces her on the faux-reggae / hop hop thing.
"Big comes first and the Queen comes after"? Stop being so sycophantic on *every* track Kim. Jigga comes first, Big second, and Kim 332nd.
And Jamrock is probably single of the year for me - the rest of the album is also (mostly) great.

riddim of jamrock is also called "World-a-music" -couple of labels have put out new versions with people like Vybz Kartel and Bounty Killer etc voicing ...bounty killers " poor people" over what is called "world a jamrock" riddim is especially great

oh...and Ini Kamoze himself has a new version of world-a-music with guy called Capital D who toasts in spanish - it's a party favourite at the moment
