Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 12:41 (twenty years ago)

Cartman singing "Heat of The Moment." trumps all

Whiney G. Weingarten (whineyg), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 13:26 (twenty years ago)

No, Cartman singing "Come Sail Away" trumps all. But I have not seen the Kahn clip.

Banana Nutrament (ghostface), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 13:59 (twenty years ago)

Kahn rules.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 17:04 (twenty years ago)

Kahn wins.

deej.. (deej..), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:01 (twenty years ago)

Who's Kahn?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:03 (twenty years ago)

Oh wait, King of Hill, right?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:04 (twenty years ago)

yah

ZR (teenagequiet), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:04 (twenty years ago)

and he wins

ZR (teenagequiet), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:05 (twenty years ago)

Cartman could sing the bible and he would still win.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:11 (twenty years ago)

Apu singing "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone" on this week's Simpsons was pretty hilarious.

Tyler Wilcox (tylerw), Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:18 (twenty years ago)

you people seem to have forgotten all of the great Butters songs. like "If you leave me now" by chicago, or that one song where he sings "lou lou lou/ ive got some apples/ lou lou lou/ you got some too"

JD from CDepot, Tuesday, 15 November 2005 18:36 (twenty years ago)

Kahn all the way. I was fucking dying when I saw that.

I liked it when Apu sand "Freak-a-zoid" by Midnight Star, but yeah, Cartman always wins.

Mike O. (Mike Ouderkirk), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 04:12 (twenty years ago)

That should say "Sang," obv.

Mike O. (Mike Ouderkirk), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 04:13 (twenty years ago)

Apu also sings 'Hot Blooded' at one point.

tylero (tylero), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 07:30 (twenty years ago)

and "dream police" while he washes his car

Chinchilla Volapük (Captain Sleep), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 07:41 (twenty years ago)

You gotta love Homer Simpson singing "Luka" by Suzanne Vega while driving
Snake's car

Carlos C., Wednesday, 16 November 2005 11:17 (twenty years ago)

"lou lou lou/ ive got some apples/ lou lou lou/ you got some too"

He goes on a run of singing that in about six consecutive episodes, paid off by him then going to sing it a talent show, forgetting the words and pissing himself.

Michael A Neuman (Ferg), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 12:54 (twenty years ago)

butters might be my favorite character on that show. it was always cartman (everyone's favorite), but butters is just so innnocent that it goes past being annoying and back to funny. like the episode where the parents hire "future selves" to keep the kids off drugs:

Butters: "Im just studying hard so I can get rid of my future self, because all he wants to do is sit around and watch Becker, and I hate that show, its so stupid."

Stan: "Butters, you have a future self? Why didn't you tell anyone?"

Butters: "No one asked."

apparently, my computer meant that so much, it posted it twice. you know. for feeling.

JD from CDepot, Wednesday, 16 November 2005 17:01 (twenty years ago)

Eh, made me laugh.

Michael A Neuman (Ferg), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 17:11 (twenty years ago)

Surely Butters' best line is: "] Wow! A package for me from Japan!! Wow, what can it be? My birthday isn't until September 11th."

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 17:14 (twenty years ago)

all weekend my friend kept singing the "Taco Flavored Kisses" song when cartman's hand turns into jennifer lopez. and the "Run for the Border" song.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 18:06 (twenty years ago)

hahaha my birthday isn't until september 11th hahahaha

thats from the Awesome-O episode right? where cartman as robot has to stick the suppository up butters' ass

JD from CDepot, Wednesday, 16 November 2005 18:16 (twenty years ago)

oh man, i didn't realize Awesome-O was a s.p. reference too. same friend says that all the time.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 19:04 (twenty years ago)

Definitely Kahn. His rendition of the sound effects makes it.

Hillary Brown (Hillary Brown), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 19:24 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, it's all about the rhythm.

Austin Still (Austin, Still), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 23:30 (twenty years ago)

If I can choose, then I gotta go with Brendon Small singing Minnie Riperton's "Loving You" to Coach McGuirk (as a means of self-defense.)

Butters is my favourite too! His stammer, his Professor Chaos costume, the way he says "Wiener"...

Myonga Von Bontee (Myonga Von Bontee), Thursday, 17 November 2005 00:59 (twenty years ago)

...the way he curses "aww hamburgers!"...

i can barely watch the episode where he gets the ninja star in his eye. it really effects me.

JD from CDepot, Thursday, 17 November 2005 01:01 (twenty years ago)

or is it "affects"?

JD from CDepot, Thursday, 17 November 2005 01:18 (twenty years ago)

It's "affects".
Affect is the verb, effect is the noun.

Peter Griffin loses points because the animators made it seem like an easy song to play on guitar, whereas it's not really.

Glading the Wanderer, Thursday, 17 November 2005 08:09 (twenty years ago)

"Effect" can also be a verb, but it's used slightly differently, as in "to effect change." It means more "to bring about" than just "have an effect on."

Hillary Brown (Hillary Brown), Thursday, 17 November 2005 19:25 (twenty years ago)

you're both wrong, it's "efx"
