is this a list thread? I'd like to know more about that if it isn't.

Perhaps not quite "experimental electronic", but Port Royal's Flares is very pretty.

Vladislav Delay's 'The Four Quarters' is out of this world.

Mr.Oizo, "Moustache (Half a Scissor)", was a breath of fresh air...that was chopped up, sped up, and spliced like hell.

I'm tempted to add "Dislocated Genius" by Chelonis R. Jones but I don't know if you'd call that 'experimental'.

It came out a while back but I just got it, and I'm really digging it: Curtis Road's "Point Line Cloud". He's *the* granular synthesis inventor / innovator and this CD compiles some killer pieces made out of "sound particles".

Not an experimental record, but a brilliant electronic pop record: Safety Scissors "Tainted Lunch" CD on ~scape. This thing is so funny and sweet and funky. Recommended.

Omit's "Tracer" double CD on the Helen Scarsdale Agency label is super good too. I drove across the central valley of California listening to it and it's a really great tripmaker.

The Voice Crack/Peter Liechti DVD "Kick That Habit" has to be the experimental electronic reissue of the year, this film with sound design and performance by Voice Crack is fucking awesome, so highly recommended if you are into circuit bending free noise.

The Son Of Rose CD.

Curtis Roads cd is key

I just heard Coh's 0397 post-pop on Mego tonight and it probably made my top 5 of the year -- touchpoints might be Panasonic's Vakio & Ikeda's +/-, but much further along, and yet contemporary with those records, just when you think the genre's ossified into something unsalvagable something like this comes along and makes you realize we've barely even stepped into the room yet
