Giant is taking over a few blocks of the Mid-Wilshire district this year and setting up stages intermittently, so you get to combine all the fun of going from place to place in LA with, well:

Stunning.

Good thing I'm getting out of town.

Adam 'student dj' Freeland, I see you. It's a sad site

Is LA trying to start a NYE Love Parade type thing ? Funny how electronic dance music (no matter how crap) is tolerated, advertised even, when you want to create a massive event to hype up a city.

But do it out in the desert where it doesn't disturb anybody and shit happens ( http://ravebust.castpost.com ).

I mean, Adam Freeland plays what I'll call britpop trance : UK rock with a clubby 4/4 kick drum underneath. This is an especially vicious formula aimed at taking advantage of large crowds of drunken kids and rich event promoters.

Who knew the Crsytal Method were still together?

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Saturday, 19 November 2005 15:18 (twenty years ago)

And that they're doing community service?

Gosh, I guess the circa-'97 U of M student paper reviewer who said they'd be remembered more than the Chemical Brothers was... uh, OK, still wrong, but.

Also, why did I know instinctively before clicking on the link that Black Eyed Peas would be involved? And since when did they have a chimp in their logo?

Maybe it's because some chimps are attracted to the smell of urine.
