Uh, I've said this elsewhere, but their first EP is really brilliant...one of my favorites ever. It's also way better than Broom, in my opinion at least. It's more lo-fi/beautiful.

don't mind this album (pershing), as much as the stupid band name puts me off

i don't mind it either. but i'm kinda frustrated with the new "you could write a book."

The only song that stands out on Pershing is "Think I Wanna Die". I guess the rest is fairly inoffensive (in the less than complimentary sense of being completely bland and nondescript).

i CANNOT get past the name. it makes me feel very old; i get the feeling that they think the name is some kind of insider reference, sufficiently obscure to seem appealingly random. whereas for anyone my age or older, he's just a very very famous, disgraced former politician.

sorry i know this has nothing to do with their music which for all i know is quite fine. but sometimes yous gotta make decisions.

You need to know about Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. I unfortunately missed their slot at the US Download Festival this year, but I was looking forward to probably hating them.

I sympathize, but I also can't see how they didn't see it coming, the saps.

"The House of Memory" is fucking great.

This is how i want them to sound, back to the original ep...acoustic, cool hooks, interesting percussion, super intimate, lo-fi aesthetic
