helicon 1 (for distilled perfection)fear satan (preferably the "mogwai remix" from kicking a dead pig)stanley kubrick (or something from that EP, for the sheer brass-band genius of it)2 rights (although the version on the album doesn't do justice to how monumental it now sounds live. there's a version on their website from ATP 2004, but even that doesn't quite capture how majestic it can be)hunted by a freak (for freakiness)ratts of the capital (for genius)golden porsche or secret pint (for balance)my father my king (for ROCK)

and "like herod". i ignored that too :(
"helicon 1" was my first mogwai experience, you see. after what felt like a lifetime of turgid britpop jism in the late-mid-1990s, suddenly i heard this ... this explosion of beauty. without wishing to sound like an utter cock more of a cock than usual my usual self too much, it represented a glorious new dawn.
:)

OK then. Incidentally Mogwai fans, have any of you seen the film Comsequences of Love which features an excellent soundtrack including Moses I Amn't and Tracy?
