I just got the Minutemen's "Sell or Be Sold" leading into the Replacements' "Buck Hill" and it was like one odd but cool song in two parts. What segues have you gotten that made you look up and say "hey, cool!"?

I drag these pairs into an "ooh" playlist when they happen. Though I don't use random as much as I used to, so these things are rarer:

No Return | The Kinks
Ceremony | New Order

Tomorrow Time | John & Beverly Martyn
La Cosa Buffa | Ennio Morricone

Blue Motel Room | Joni Mitchell
Heaven | Talking Heads

And Then We Hit A Truck | The Martini Henry Rifles
True Faith | New Order

Flip Flop Rock (feat. Killer Mike & Jay-Z) | Outkast
Don't Help Me Out | Sam & Dave

Aerodynamic | Daft Punk
Head Over Heels | ABBA

The Voice Of Energy | Kraftwerk
Freckles | Gorky's Zygotic Mynci

Lockjaw (feat. Trunks) | King Geedorah
Stop! Look What You're Doing | Carla Thomas

I should relisten to these and see if I was just on crack or not.

not party shuffle but iPod Shuffle: Tool, "Faaip De Oiad" into The Cure, "The Caterpillar"

there was another moment when The Secret Machines, "Alone, Jealous And Stoned" was playing and I idly thought to myself "This is better than anything U2 ever did" and then "Slug" off the Passenger album came on and I was all "oh man if that had been Your Blue Room (the next track) I'd have been under serious karmic duress"
