Oh "Dry The Rain" already. Fuck a curveball that proves I am an individual what thinks for hisself etc etc.

Stop it Henry.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Monday, 26 June 2006 09:03 (nineteen years ago)

for serious!

Roughage Crew (Enrique), Monday, 26 June 2006 09:04 (nineteen years ago)

i only just got 'hot shots II' though (via getTunes), and maybe i should listen to it before responding properly.

Roughage Crew (Enrique), Monday, 26 June 2006 09:05 (nineteen years ago)

Monolith - those dogs + dropped scratchy needle bit makes me lose it every time.

dog latin (dog latin), Monday, 26 June 2006 09:08 (nineteen years ago)

'the patty patty sound' is flawless.

Roughage Crew (Enrique), Monday, 26 June 2006 09:10 (nineteen years ago)

True that.

Got to be Dry The Rain. I remember that being the point when I fell in love with them, seeing them do it live at their first Manchester gig. When the trumpet came in, it totally kicked my arse. Still one of my personal favourite live moments.

Push It Out. Brilliant opening...

eleven months pass...

Could be 'She's The One' or 'Inner Meet Me' or 'B+A' or 'It's Not Too Beautiful' or 'The Hard One' or 'Alleged' or 'Space Beatle', but I'm going to go for their most fundamental, memorable, brilliantly-conceived if not necessarily most dynamic piece:

'The Cow's Wrong'.

Just got offed, Sunday, 27 May 2007 10:45 (eighteen years ago)

btw, 'The Monolith' is indeed brilliant. If all of The 3 EPs was as good as The Patty Patty Sound then it would be one of my all-time top records. As it stands, the rest of the album is ALMOST as good, although it drops off a little towards the end.

'life'

and what, Sunday, 27 May 2007 12:39 (eighteen years ago)

Still round the bend.

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 27 May 2007 12:45 (eighteen years ago)

Oh STOP! Don't make me pick ONE! *gasp*

Bimble, Sunday, 27 May 2007 13:50 (eighteen years ago)

Still Push It Out. Much as they did a lot of great stuff, that's just an astonishingly beautiful, controlled piece of music.
