Long shot track ID - A capella song about fishing

I heard this once, late night on radio 3. It was sung a capella by a bloke with a fairly deep voice, about the decline of the fishing industry in the uk. Kind of like that song on the advert for fish in the uk ('when the boat comes in' or whatever it is) but way more depressing and political.

I get the impression you don't much care for the song.

Oh no, I really loved it. I just can't remember anything more about it.

I think I heard this too. How long ago?
Was it on Late Junction?

And was it about 10 minutes long?

It sounds like John Conolly - but what track I'm not sure.

five months pass...
I have just remebered that it contained the lyric 'big boat for sale'.

DANCE TO YOUR DADDY/ DANCE TI' THY DADDY is the traditional song you're comparing it to but i'm not sure what this one is.

if you're really that desperate to find out go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/ and click on "contact us" you'll be amazed to find that they will actually answer you back possibly with the right answer! the BBC have loads of people employed just to reply to queries of this sort.

Very sensible. I do really want to hear it again.
