Emu

Essense of Topiary, splash in the air.
Go down to silken water, cool springs, oh yea.
We're noticing the cloud come, the drizzle here..
Into the blood arising, out of the fear...
And there's nothing in the world to do.
You can understand, it is us falling..

Chorus

He wants to find you, he finds it good,
he'll wrap around you and wish he could.
He'll get to know you, he likes it good.
He'll wrap around you and wish he could.
Don't know how to fail you.

Out of the olive garden, onto the wheels,
you knew the English language-I drive to yield.
You knew less of the language then how to feel.
..searching beneath the surface, into the real..
and there's nothing in the world to do.
You can understand, it is love calling.

Emu, Amour
It's love...
Chorus

that is my goal for this week. Emu should done in the near future..know any good bassist?

Mariesa, Friday, 25 November 2005 19:05 (twenty years ago)

why can't I edit my messages?
I am cutting the piano of Emu this week.
that is my goal..along with a new Middle Eastern sounding piece and a less exotic piece for guitar..and voice etc...

Mariesa, Friday, 25 November 2005 19:06 (twenty years ago)

this song, my favorite

gwem, Friday, 25 November 2005 20:01 (twenty years ago)

I just listened to the old demo version of It's Sun, I was trying to record it Analog to digital...it was terrible quality..Now this time, with the Avalon, it will be all digital..and will sound alot better.
I wish I could do all analog but I can't...it was sound 99 percent better when I am finished with it.

I just put up the poetry of It's Sun

It is on my poetry section

It's Sun

(Note: this song is inspired by a Frenchman who reminded me

of a bunny rabbit.)

The lapins run like English bunny hares, they even look as beau

as any English mare. I wonder if we'll ever get along...

...and after all the stars are shining here..

Chorus
It's Sun, It's Sun, It's Sun again

It's Sun, It's Sun, It's Shining.

It's Sun, It's Sun, It's again.

It's Sun, It's Sun, It's Shining.

Verse
The bunnies secret world society, where sweeter things

make sweeter tea to please..The music soothes the souls..

the kinder hares, the music soothes the gentle and the rare.

Bridge
I know the that the lovers I choose, are in love with me, but

it could be the booze, I know that you are the one I choose.

And I don't know if I'm the fool here.

Repeat Chorus

Mariesa, Friday, 25 November 2005 20:21 (twenty years ago)

Why did he remind you of a bunny rabbit?

Surfer_Stone_Rosalita (Surfer_Stone_Rosalita), Saturday, 26 November 2005 00:23 (twenty years ago)

He looks like one.
Very rabbit-like facial feature. Bunny nosed, soft features,
no buck teeth though.

Mariesa, Saturday, 26 November 2005 02:08 (twenty years ago)

today i just cut..(recorded) two acoustic guitar tracks..called Doubling.
I think it is the best guitar tracks I have ever laid down.
I am adding bass.
The song is very Rhythmic.
I am trying to find a great real drummer.
and I way to add my congas..real congas...
very UP Tempo this song is...
does not sound like anything I have ever recorded before. I am excited...I am also laying piano tracks...
layering vocals..I do this morning noon and night.
The Avalon 747 is really helping.
Evens things out...warms things up.
everything sound more pro..and in time.

Mariesa, Saturday, 26 November 2005 18:38 (twenty years ago)

YES!!!!!

Pablo (Pablo A), Saturday, 26 November 2005 23:20 (twenty years ago)

I'll play drums on it - are you still in the NYC area?

Abbadabba Berman (Hurting), Sunday, 27 November 2005 01:42 (twenty years ago)

this song is not that difficult to play as some of my others..but then to some people it might be difficult. I live in Upstate New York right now.
cold.
beautiful.
this is a very musical place.
anyway...
real drums are impossible to do on machines..I can't deal with fake drum sounds..and I like real percussion

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 00:30 (twenty years ago)

Interesting point of fact: Having followed Marissa's odd trajectory well before she became a mad ILMer, I actually find her music endearing. Not in an ironic or mean-spirited way; in a "hey that's kinda odd and neat" way.
And I rather doubt Marissa is any more damaged or strange than anyone else on this board. She just seems to have a bit more time on her hands.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 01:13 (twenty years ago)

> And I rather doubt Marissa is any more damaged or strange than anyone else on this board.

I see. You must have missed, ooooh... one or two hundred of her recent postings then?

Niall, Wednesday, 21 December 2005 01:52 (twenty years ago)

Nope. I caught the one or two hundred of everybody elses.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 01:54 (twenty years ago)

hey Forks, do you have the orig. of "It's Sun"? I have "Emu" and "For You", if you want 'em.

Pablo (Pablo A), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 02:04 (twenty years ago)

Nope. I caught the one or two hundred of everybody elses.

You are in a state of willful denial, sir. If people weren't deleting her threads than you might say different.

sleeve (sleeve), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 02:51 (twenty years ago)

oh please

Susan Douglas (Susan Douglas), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 04:02 (twenty years ago)

John, I agree with you about the music, but not about the person behind it.

Abbadavid Berman (Hurting), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 04:12 (twenty years ago)

what's the point of saying that?

Susan Douglas (Susan Douglas), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 04:21 (twenty years ago)

Hi Pablo:
Yeah, I have originals on those. i thought she finally got around to releasing new versions of the rest.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 04:31 (twenty years ago)

three years pass...

You know, once in a while, I think, where did she go, and how is she?

I do a bit of searching, but never find anything beyond year 2005 or so.

Although, one search enjin seemed to have a NY address for her, but wanted me to sign membership and pay subs.

It's Sun

The lapins run like English bunny hares...

they look as beau as any English mare. I wonder if we'll ever get along..

and afterall the sun is shining here....

(Chorus)

It's sun, it's sun again, it's sun, it's shining. It's sun, it's sun again. It's sun..

It's shining.

(Back to verse)

The bunnies secret world society, where sweeter things make sweeter

tea to please..

The music soothes the souls the kinder hares, the music soothes the gentle

and the rare...

(Repeat Chorus)......

I know that the showers are few, and the grays from up above rarely flood into our blue oceans.

And I know that you are the one I choose, and I don't know if I'm the fool here.

(Repeat Chorus)

Trees Can Speak

Seabird, fish and flowers they wish, that we would go away.

Living here amongst our stench, insecticide and spray..

We may think our minds all knowing,

our powers quick and overflowing,

but trees can speak, majestic, meek and wisdom winds are blowing.

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 11 February 2009 16:04 (seventeen years ago)

ok, i'll stop now

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 11 February 2009 16:04 (seventeen years ago)

baaderonixx, good to know. Thx....
