If an alien came to Earth and asked you to recommend him one Prince album, what would it be?

Keep in mind that the alien doesn't know how to use the SEARCH function here, so he/she would have no way of seeking out similar threads.

What would it be? Right now I'm torn between Sign o' the Times and Dirty Mind. I admire DM's spare production and singular sound. But I also admire SOTT's sprawl and, uh, whatever is the opposite of a singular sound.

If forced to pick one to save Earth, I guess I'd go with Dirty Mind.
