The ad is about Jim, how everything in his life is automatic (the seat in his car, the sprinkler system, the vacuum cleaner). Might only be airing in Canada.

Song is an 80s one, i think, can't place it though. Starts with an electro riff, then the singer goes "Check it out!" and a guitar riff starts. Sounds post-punk ish? And it sounds very familiar but I can't figure out what it is and the interweb isn't helping me out.
