Jive has all but erased the existence of the original version of this song. Once the Fresh Prince broke with the family-friendly "Parents Just Don't Understand," the original print of
Rock The House dissapeared and the version with the anemic, sanitized "1988 Extended Mix" showed up.
This is the version on all the greatest hits and all the retrospective. I don't even know if it was ever on CD (it was most certainly on my cassette, which i threw away when I turned 12 and had a suburban white-boy identity crisis and started listening to Ministry).

I haven't heard the original version in like 15 years, but the 1988 version STILL sounds weird to me!

i just found a vinyly 1986 version on the internets.
