I need a bit of mixtape help here. I'm making a tape for a friend of mine who's turning sixteen soon, and I'd like to include a few songs about being sixteen, or turning sixteen, etc. I've already got "Sixteen Blue," "Sixteen Candles," and "Half a Person" but I'd like a few more. Any suggestions? Nothing too sleazy, pleazy.

Christine Sixteen = too sleazy?

The only thing that comes to mind is "Sixteen Going On Seventeen," which is probably not sleazy *enough*.

Iggy Pop, "Sixteen" (just enough sleaze...)
Buzzcocks, "16"

Sonic's Rendevouz: Sweet Little 16... (Sorry, I think that's the least sleazy one that I've got. There just aren't songs about 16-year-old girls that aren't about fucking them... And wait, why are you givin' her a mix tape? Creep!)

Billy Idol's "Sweet Sixteen," although that is a little skeevy ("I would do anything/For my sweet sixteen").

You come on like a dream,
Peaches and cream
Lips like strawberry wine...

OK, so that's sleazy too. Why is it less acceptable now to write sexy songs about 16-year-olds than it was in the Eisenhower era?
