Christ I'm old.

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 13:35 (nineteen years ago)

Nizlopi are worse than the Rwandan massacres.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 13:36 (nineteen years ago)

Nizlopi wouldn't win round 1 of a local bands competition, how have the reached the masses?

DJ Martian (djmartian), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 13:49 (nineteen years ago)

it's all about the very cute video...

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 13:58 (nineteen years ago)

They're more interesting than Coldplay.

Amity Wong (noodle vague), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:06 (nineteen years ago)

Can I just ask, does he say "I'm so glad i'm not in school, Boss".. like a kebab salesman?

Don Rowlando (Sam Rowlands), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:14 (nineteen years ago)

Yes boss!

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:17 (nineteen years ago)

The song would be better if it was about the Israeli army crushing Palestinian homes.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:18 (nineteen years ago)

OK, description please.

As objective as possible.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:29 (nineteen years ago)

Like Athlete crossed with avian flu.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:33 (nineteen years ago)

So why's it so hot for the christmas number one?

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 14:38 (nineteen years ago)

Cuz XFM is hyping them so blatantly. While introducing the song the DJ's say that "We have to make Nizlopi number one for Xmas charts".

elgolfo (elgolfo), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 16:43 (nineteen years ago)

ok, description: singalong simpleton songs, you remember the kids tv show playaway in the 70s = nizlopi in the 00s

DJ Martian (djmartian), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 16:56 (nineteen years ago)

I think we're signing them, which if you're familiar, you know what that means.

Eppy (Eppy), Tuesday, 6 December 2005 17:55 (nineteen years ago)

I have no idea what that means.

I saw the video this morning. Quite nice, in an 'irritating by mid Jan' style a'la G.Jules

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 12 December 2005 09:48 (nineteen years ago)

On two listens (with the video) I really like it, but do not ever play it near me again.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Monday, 12 December 2005 10:08 (nineteen years ago)

I heard the single in Virgin on Friday. Now there's a whole bunch of other people I want to skin slowly with a rusty peeling knife.

Falling down the stairs again (noodle vague), Monday, 12 December 2005 11:47 (nineteen years ago)

It really annoys me. I saw it at a short film night I sometimes DJ at (they play music videos too sometimes, if they're interesting) in around August and found it terribly twee. Conversation with my then-boyfriend went like this:
Me: This is so bloody twee.
E: Aw no, it's okay. It's cute. It's every little boy's dream. Look! Optimous Prime's having to wait.
Me: (Says) God, you're so bloody sentimental sometimes.
Me: (Thinks) I am dead inside. I have no finer feelings. I am too cynical and like the Snow Queen.
Then wind forward a few months and it's all over the place and stuck in my head and making me feel like a bad, dead-inside person for hating it.
