Um, is it me, or is there very few singles being released at the moment?
It seems that as MJ will be getting the next whatever number one hits as granted, no-one (so far) is releasing a big fuck-on hit single until "you rock my world" is done. The Kaiser Chiefs was single number eleventy off the album (and did quite well considering), the um whoever was a rerelease from last year...

OK, 'parody' over. So, Mick's re-releasing each single for his fans to collect, and put into a box, and 'block book' the number one slot for the whole sale period. Each comes with extra tracks, remixes, etc. Well, if it worked for Elvis, ...
Except it didn't, did it? Three number ones isn't bad, admittedly, but not close to the "Twenty more" ...
As the early ones sold out madly quickly, copies of "One Night" went up to £80 on ebay. Now, every HMV has loads of the later ones knocking about. Also, check and see how much a complete box set (painstakingly collected by every seller) is going for (i.e. not much).
Plus, there may be some takers for the "Thriller", "Beat it" and suchlike, but not too much excitement for "Liberian girl" and "Heal the world" etc.
